The Greater Afton Area Chamber of Commerce represents businesses and organizations in the town of Afton and neighboring communities in upstate New York.
Afton is a rural town on the Susquehanna River with a pleasant village Main Street dotted with excellent restaurants, historic tid bits, and locally-owned companies. The many surrounding rural hamlets and villages also feature historic buildings, unique businesses and services along with a wide assortment of community events. This region of back roads, rolling hills, numerous bridges, and rich history is conveniently located, accessible to small New York state cities as well as to major highways leading to more urban areas. This access also allows many residents to enjoy the rural life while easily traveling to larger areas for work. Along with our annual agricultural fair, library, small schools, and outdoor activities, our area provides a variety of services from many small businesses and organizations.
2013 was a landmark year for the recently-revitalized Greater Afton Area Chamber of Commerce. Awarded a $20,000 Constitution Pipeline Grant, the Chamber began new outreach initiatives, expanded its membership, participated in community events, offered a business marketing seminar, and developed informational materials including a member brochure for distribution. The growing membership of the Greater Afton Area Chamber of Commerce offers a number of benefits and opportunities to businesses, organizations, area residents, and visitors.
